Pics will be coming

I promise pics before the end of the week! I can at least take one of Maddie with her "gear" on even if she is not into playing tee-ball. But whether or not she is into it, we have committed to coach the team so off to practice we will go. I wish that there was another girl on the team. That might help. We were supposed to have another Madison on our team but she has never showed up. :(
She still loves her dance though and maybe we can change her mind about tee-ball. I am not going to force her to play something she does not want to but I will encourage.
The other day I was at my parents with Maddie and she was eyeing the pool and asking when we could swim. My dad started talking to her about no floaties this year and going under the water.
She said "I dont want to hide unfer the water"
Papa said "You wont. I will be there and wont let you get hurt."
She said "I am not a mermaid!"
On that note I will end this post.

Sleeping at Target and our first practice

I had to post this picture I took with my phone. Maddie fell asleep in the car on the way to Target and was sooo tired she stayed asleep after we layed blankets and pillows in the cart. She looks so angelic when she is asleep.
Well Nick is off to his first baseball practice tonight. I am confident things will go well. He is very excited that #1 His good friend at school is on the team #2 His dad and papa are co-coaches and #3 I am the team mom. It is so important to the kids that we be involved with what they are doing. Truth be told, I love that they want us to be involved. (well Maddie is still so young she still has that little kid attachment) but Nick likes us to be around. I realize that there will come a day when he will pretend he does not have parents. I have already been informed that there is to be no hugs or kisses once we pull up to the school. When I was growing up it was always stressed that family is first and my parents always did stuff with us and were involved and I know the same was true for Pete.
Maddie had her 1st practice on Monday. I am going to really enjoy coaching a tee ball team. Whether or not my daughter plays is another story. I am hoping it was just because she was tired from dance and had no nap but she did not want to play. Wait allow me to rephrase she wanted to run around and not listen and get in line and she cried...I guess she does not know that there is no crying in baseball!! (or tee-ball) Next week I am going to be sure to give her a nap.
I will being my camera on Saturday and have someone take some pics for Maddie's 2nd practice.

Baseball is a family affair!

Get this
Nick had baseball try outs the other day, He is on his friend's team from school. His friends dad is the coach, Pete and my dad are assistant coaches and I am team mom.
We found out Maddie was old enough to play tee-ball (and we think she is going to be the athlete in the family) so there was no hesitation to sign her right up! So the coaches for her team are my dad as head coach and ME!!! as assistant! I am about as coordinated as a chipmunk with 2 left paws! and wouldnt see a fly ball until it hit me in the head!! so it should be quite interesting! Thankfully they are all 4 and 5 years old so hopefully they won't realize one of their coaches doesn't know how to play :)
Maddie will be the Florida Marlins and Nick is the Diamondbacks.
Maddie starts practice on Monday (right after dance class) not real thrilled about that but that was the only day left to sign up for. It will be fine and I will be sure to post some pics. She is going to look sooo cute in her tee ball uniform, her pink and black cleats and hot pink helmet (with a hole in the back for her ponytail!!)
All for now!

Vegas

Pete and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary in 2007. It was the best! He totally surprised me with a trip to Vegas with my best and oldest friends. The weekend was one surprise after the other. We had so much fun and I was so touched that everyone went to so much trouble to surprise me (and believe me I was totally surprised) Here are some pix from the weekend.

Pics from Nick's 1st grade end of the year.

These pics of me and Nick are from his 1st grade end of the year so they are a few months old but it was pointed out to me that there are not any pic of me on this blog, so I put the one from 1993 but then was told that did not count since it was 100 years old. So here ya go girls..(you know who you are (grin grin). these are only like 6 months old... I love the 1st pic where I am looking at Nick. That was not a picture we posed for. I think you can see how proud I am of him and how much I love that kid.
