The Diamondbacks!

Here are asome pictures of Nick playing his first ballgame. (They were rained out on opening day) He did AWESOME! He got on base 2x one he made it home the other he got out when the batter made their last out of the inning. The game was going kind of slow until the last inning. The excitement really picked up after that. We did not win but it was so close and it was our first game so the coaches are still learning where and when to put certain players in. The kids did great! Nick had a super time and it was the best baseball game I have ever been to. :)

Maddie's Birthday Party

Here are the final pix from Maddie's birthday. My brother in lasw came over and downloaded the ones he took. We had her birthday party at the same park we did last year. It is also the same park we play baseball at. It was a beautiful day. The little boy with Maddie is my friend's son Devin (her other 2 are pictured in other spots on the blog) and then the one where he is eating the cake my girlfriend is holding him. They are some of out closest friends down here. She has a little boy and a little girl right around Nick's age and they are all the besto friends.
I have some other pic to post as well but I am goingto do it in their very own post.

Future Astronomer at work

Here are a few pic of Nick playing around with his telescope. His dream at this juncture is to be an astronomer. I told him just no trips to the moon. I would be scared to death. If I could put the kids in a bubble to protectthem I would, wish I was not such a nervous nelly but I am what I am.

MLB Here we come

Nick had his first scrimmage last night and he did great! He got a solid hit on the 1st pitch and did great in the outfield. We have met some really nice people through little league so even though it takes up so much time and we spend more evenings at the ballfield than we do at home I am glad we signed the kids up. I sat with a mom the entire scrimmage last night and we totally hit it off and chatted ut up the whole time. I guess Florida is really starting to feel like home. It only took 3 years but I am finally coming around.

Barbie Jeep

Maddie's big gift for her birthday was a battery operated pink and purple Barbie Jeep. She loves it!! Here are some pictures of her and her brother taking if for a spin. He was not thrilled about being seen in a pink car but he let me take the pix anyway. What a good sport! He has this thingwith bunny ears. He tries to give them to everyone he poses with... Boys will be boys! :)

I thought it would be a good idea to do seperate posts for each set of pics.

Green thumb

These pix are just me bragging about my flowers on the porch. I have not even the slightest of green thumbs but I am doing pretty good with this. The prple flowers are an orchid that I planted and it just took off. It has tons of blooms and is even growing another one that has not bloomed yet. Very pleased. It gives so much color to the front porch.
