Birthday party at the Shannons

Here are some pictures from my girlfriend Michelle's 30th birthday party. It was a really fun day. The kids and guys played football, Tim grilled and served cold beers. We love get togethers with the Shannons. (and we also like their neighbors Amy and Chris. They have 2 little girls Hailey and Alyssa. Maddie loves Alyssa and was so excited that she got to go over to her house and play with Alyssa'a Barbie hoouse.

Goofing around

Here are just some pictures of us goofing around when my mom and dad were over. I think Maddie took most of these pictures. I also think this is the night she broke my camers! Not happy about that. For a 4 year old she isnt too bad at taking the pictures. Keeping the caemra in her hands I guers that is another story. The cat in the pictures is Rusty.

Here are just a few picturees from Orlando Sea World. We had so much fun and as most of you already know, petting the dholphins was the highlight of the trp. The last picture of Maddie with the grouchy face was staged. She was practicing making faces and thhis one was a pretty accurate one of her when she is in a mood!

Sporting a new look

Maddie had a "mini makeover" (well not really, a kid this cute doesnt need a makeover.... but she did get her hair cut and she got her ears pierced.

I was afraid when she got her ears pierced. Actually, my sister went with and she actually was with her. That little girl of mine did not even flinch when they did it. I thought it was going to be a scream fest but nope she sat there like the big brave girl she is and it was done in seconds.

She refused to smile in the pics without being a complete goof ball and then I couldnt show her new "do"

Pool party and trip to the beach

We went to out favorite watering hole Lani Kai a few weeks ago. Actually Pete was golfing but the rest of the gang went. It was fun until the clouds rolled in. Nick is still very nervous being outside when it looks likethe slightest possibility of a storm. This rainy season has been tons of fun. We have thunderstorms at least 2x a day!!
I am also adding some pics from mom and dad's pool. Tom's (my brother in law) parents were visiting and Tom's dad and his friend Mike were throwing the kids in the pool. I got some pretty good action shots :) The kids loved it!! Well Maddie and TJ did not get thrown in but the older 4 were all over it. It was a fun day. It is nice that my parents have a pool that we like to share with us whenever we want.
I just looked at this posting and the pics have gotten all mixed up. I wanted to post pool party and the beach seperately but that is not how it turned out! OH WELL

Busch Gardens Tampa FL

Here is a photo show from this past weekend. We took the kids to Busch Gardens and Adventure Islands (a waterpark) I did not bring the camera so all the pics are from the Hotel and Busch Gardens. We had a nice weekend but the next time I go to an amusement it will not be at the end of June in Florida. It was sooooo hot!!! and humid. The water park was perfect but Busch Gardens will have to wait till February!
Pete had never been to a water park before so it was a new experience for him. The kids and Ih ve been to Sun Splash in Cape Coral but that was nothing compared to Adventure Islands. The water park had 2 big playgrounds for little ones like Maddie, a huge Lazy River for my mom, a wave pool, numerous slides and 2 big pools, a picnic area if you brought your lunch. It was a good time. We had talked about hitting a park before we went home on Sunday but 2 days at amusement parks was enough without a break. We are also going to go to Orlando this summer and go to Sea World and Aquatica. We have passes for all 4 parks.
