Pete received this email message from the marketing manager at Mayer Electric which is his employer:
In case you watch Extreme Home Makeover on TV this Sunday, March 23, perhaps you’ll take a little satisfaction in knowing that Mayer-Mobile helped make a family's dream home become reality. Mayer-Mobile, in conjuction with some of our key suppliers (Hubbell, Lutron, Lithonia, and Siemens), donated the bulk of electric materials for this home. Our customer, D's Electric, did the electrical work in the house
It makes us proud that Pete works for a company that would be involved with such a worthy cause. Would have been even nicer if one of the benefits for donating was a meeting with Ty Pennington. :0) (totally kidding)

That is awesome to work for someone who wants to make a difference!
In my previous job, I worked for Medtronic and they make many medical devices but the division I worked for was the Cardiac Rhythm division - i.e. - pacemakers and defribilators (and you'd think after working there I could it - but we called them ICDs). It was always so cool to read customer testimonies about how our product had changed their lives!
Way to go Mayer Electric!
Beth
That is cool, nice to hear that companies still donate to worthy causes. I also agree meeting Ty would have been awesome!
